Hadyn Craig

Originally from New Zealand and now permanently residing in the United Kingdom, Hadyn is from a sheep and beef farming background in Southern New Zealand. He studied agribusiness and science, completing a Master of Science in Genetics from Otago University, with an emphasis on statistics and quantitative genetics. He worked as a senior consultant with the International agribusiness and science advisory company, AbacusBio Limited, leading commercial science programmes across novel animal production systems, genetic improvement and breeding optimization in sheep, cattle and dairy.

In parallel to his roles in science, Hadyn has led numerous commercial assessments, due diligence projects and direct personal investments across a range of early stage and traditional investment types, working alongside professional investors and industry leaders to support investment cases. This forms the nexus of his passion – combining science and innovation with business.

Hadyn is co-founder and CEO of Capital Agri International; an agri/food investment and management business operating in South East Asia and the UK. He is responsible for driving the strategy to expand their investment base across the fresh produce sector and associated industries, in Asia, alongside developing the company’s investment portfolio in a number of innovative solutions in the UK. Their primary focus is specifically related to protected agricultural solutions and biological controls to reduce burdens on synthetic chemistry for the cropping sector. Much of Hadyn’s time is involved with working with investment partners and individual investors to assess and build robust and executable investment cases.
