PRESS RELEASE

Nature’s SAFE, one of Europe’s first Living Biobanks is on a mission to save animals from extinction. The charity partners with accredited UK zoos to collect tissue and reproductive samples from deceased or neutered endangered animals which are then processed and stored in an indefinitely cryopreserved, living state. This ground-breaking science means these samples, once defrosted, can be used to produce pregnancies to support vulnerable populations. The work is a critical piece of the conservation puzzle, providing a safeguard for animals the world is currently on track to lose.
The pioneering charity relies on public, private and corporate donations to fund their critical work and has recently signed an exciting new corporate partnership with the environmentally conscious Losehill House Hotel & Spa based in Derbyshire. As recipients of the esteemed Peak District Environmental Quality Mark, Losehill House Hotel are now able to expand their commitment to positive environmental reach into global conservation.
Owner Paul said: "We are very excited to partner with Nature’s SAFE at such a critical time in their development, the aims and goals of the charity are so incredible that to be able to work together to bring awareness and funding to Nature’s SAFE is a real privilege".
Co-founder and Charity Coordinator, Dr Rhiannon Bolton said “Nature’s SAFE is delighted to be partnering with Losehill House Hotel & Spa to achieve our common aim of protecting and enhancing the environment.” Trustee Debbie Rolmanalis said “Losehill House Hotel and Spa demonstrate exceptional environmental leadership for the hospitality industry and we are incredibly grateful to be working with them to expand our mutual impact’.
It costs around £100 to process one sample and financial support from Losehill House Hotel & Spa will enable Nature’s SAFE to add critically needed samples to the 85 species that are already safely stored.
Losehill House Hotel & Spa are selling charity raffle tickets - buy a £5 ticket to be entered into a monthly draw to win an experience at Losehill House Hotel & Spa - 100% of the proceeds goes to the charity.
Human activity is causing the largest predicted loss of biodiversity in 65 million years, and time is running out to prevent catastrophic decline. Following on from COP-26 last November, more companies are realising their responsibility to protect the environment and commercial partnerships with green charities like Nature’s SAFE are gaining momentum. The work of Nature’s SAFE has impact on a global scale and every penny donated goes towards safeguarding species from extinction.
