About Tullis
Tullis pioneers advanced techniques in equine reproduction, including post-castration sperm harvesting and cryopreservation. He’s collected from over 1100 stallions across 51 breeds and works with zoos to preserve endangered species’ semen. In 2019, he collected samples from elephants and rhinos in South Africa.
In 2008, Tullis established Equine Reproduction Supplies, now the UK’s largest distributor of equine AI equipment. He gained exclusive UK distribution rights for “minitube” products in 2010.
A Trustee of the Rare Breeds Survival Trust since 2015, Tullis received the 2011 Marsh Christian Award for Conservation in Genetic Bio-Diversity and the 2019 Fellowship of the Royal Agricultural Societies award. In 2020, his company produced the UK’s first Suffolk Punch foal using sex-sorted semen, aiding endangered breed conservation.
Tullis regularly lectures internationally on stallion reproduction and conducts private courses for veterinary practices and stud farms. He’s a frequent speaker at industry events and DEFRA-approved AI courses.
Tullis founded Nature’s SAFE in 2020.
